A series of events were organized by the department to create awareness about increasing reporting of adverse drug reactions, as well as enhancing patient safety and avoiding medication errors for faculty and students. The events were coordinated in collaboration with NSS unit of PIET under the guidance of Mr. Pardeep and Mr. Ajay Malik (NSS Coordinators) and departmental coordinators were Dr. Daisy Arora and Dr. Parveen Goyal. Sensitization lectures regarding awareness for reporting Adverse Drug Reactions were organized in the department. In the lecture given by Dr. Daisy Arora she told about the importance of reporting ADRs which are the basis of the reports sent from AMC to National Coordination Centre, IPC Ghaziabad, and thus decision are taken regarding safe use of drugs for the patients including banning or withdrawing the drugs causing serious ADRs.
